Grethe Meyer
Grethe Meyer was a Danish Architect and Designer born in 1918 and died in 2008.
After Grethe Meyer died all rights to her designs went to newly established Grethe Meyer Design to protect and to further promote her designs.
She will always be remembered for her 3 successful productions for Royal Copenhagen Porcelain: The “Blue Line” dinner series (1965 – 2011), the “Whitepot” porcelain dinner series and the “Firepot” oven-to-table ware as well as the stainless cutlery “Copenhagen” for Georg Jensen.
Today her "Copenhagen" cutlery is still in production with Georg Jensen, who has also just now started production of the "GM Candelabra" with 4 and 8 candles, which have not been in production until now.
Menu will soon re-launch the oven table series "Firepot" and has already re-launched the Grethe Meyer "Copper Lamp" seen here, which has not been on the market before. Both productions will be available in 2014.
